Living the Spirit-filled life as a stay-at-home mom
Hi, I’m Colleen James, and starting a blog is something I have wanted to do for awhile. I love to write and figured I should put that passion to use somehow.
I originally thought I’d start a food blog since the blogs I mainly look at are ones in search of some good recipes for dinner! I can get caught up in these websites for hours if I’m searching for new recipes at night when my young son is already tucked into bed. The dreamy pictures of these hearty meals is enough to make me want to jump into the lives of these bloggers. They seem so perfect!
I had originally planned to call my blog “A Cozy Haven.” It would include recipes, DIY projects, and perhaps some interior decorating ideas–everything that makes a cozy haven! I was praying about what to call my blog prior to coming up with this perfect name, however, and in the midst of these thoughts, God interrupted my plans to call me on an adventure with Him.
For that reason, I have chosen the name “Anticipating Adventure” to document this new season of my life on my spiritual journey.
I must admit that I still hope that I’ll be able to include some recipes and DIY projects, but I am praying that the LORD will make me flexible to His plans for this blog.
Writing a blog like this definitely feels more risky to me than posting about recipes would have. There is something very personal about documenting this journey before me through this platform. But that is part of the adventure, isn’t it?
